Yesterday - Firhouse Carmel hosted a 6 team 7 a side tournament played at new Astro beside Shamrock Rovers ground in Tallaght stadium.
Firhouse Carmel, Templeogue United, Leixlip Utd & Manortown.Utd all entered teams.
Manortown won our 3 group games& topped the group and played Leixlip in the Cup final winning 3-2.
Ethan Chawke was top scorer and player of the tournament. Harry Dillon and Leo Potts were the other goal scorers for us. Harry Dillon pulled off some fine saves in goal, Oisin Ó Máille, Rayyan Nguyen, Bradán Byrne rock solid in defence. James Rafferty, Conan Flanagan, Zach Dillon, Leo Potts midfield generals and Ethan Chawke leading from the front. Some great free flowing football from this team.
Matthew McElwee is also in the squad and couldn’t compete at the blitz due to illness but has been a solid defender for us all season.
Many a bottle of Prime went into the inaugural cup and celebrations went on late into the night 😂💛💙⚽️
