Our combined U14 Girls Castleisland/Killarney side had a convincing win over Mallow Green last Friday evening in the Development Cup. It was the first time that the the Killarney girls amalgamated with Castleisland and credit to both teams for their excellent performance, they worked very well together. Harriet O’Sulivan, Sorcha O’Sullivan, Izzy Hilario and Alice Eagar represented Killarney, while Saoirse Barron represented Listowel.

In bitterly cold conditions the newly amalgamated team ran in 5 tries, including one from Harriet O’Sullivan. Sorcha O’Sullivan was super effective around the rucks and Izzy Hilario worked her way through players. Alice Eager played her part on the wing and did very well for her first competitive game and Saoirse had a fantastic game. A big thanks to the Castleisland coach Andy Caldwell and Killarney coach TJ Brosnan.
