Simonstown U15 Premier 2 Team Secures Thrilling Victory Against St. Colmcilles

In a gripping encounter at Simonstown’s home ground, the U15 Premier 2 team faced off against St. Colmcilles in the opening round of the league. Captained by Joshua Kelly, the first half was a closely contested battle, with Simonstown leading at halftime: Simonstown 0-8 (8 points) V St. Colmcilles 1-0 (3 points).
The scoreboard was lit up by some impressive individual performances. Notably, Harry Dunne contributed 3 points, Owen Geoghan added 1 point, and Thomas Farrelly showcased his accuracy with 3 points. Chris Hayes also chipped in with a point for Simonstown before the half time whistle went.
As the teams emerged for the second half, Simonstown displayed unwavering determination. Their fiery spirit translated into an explosive performance, resulting in a total of 2-7 (13 points) during this period. The scorers included Ciaran Griffin with 1-1 (4 points) and Thomas Farrelly with another 1-1 (4 points). Sam McGuinness contributed 3 points, while Ryan McGoona and Chris Hayes each added a point to their tally.
All players from Daniel St. Ledger, in goals, the defence line, mid -fielders & forwards played a pivotal role, showcasing excellent teamwork despite it being their first outing together.
