Following last night's statement issued by Westport United FC to pay tribute to the Late Ollie Gannon, RIP, the Chairman of Westport United FC has issued the following statement.
Speaking about Ollie Gannon, Chairman of Westport United, Myles Staunton said:
"As a former Chairman of Westport United and indeed as the first citizen of Westport as Cathaoirleach of the Town Council, Ollie approached everything he did with a sincerity and warmth which was unique. Ollie wore his heart on his sleeve and he cared so much about the town of Westport and his beloved Westport United. He will be missed sorely by all his friends at the Club and in the town and on behalf of everyone at Westport United, I want to extend our sympathies to Ollie's family and friends."
