We are delighted to confirm that Dylan Gavin has returned to The Club.

Dylan, who played his early football with St Peters and St Francis, played for Athlone on the 25th November 2017, a date which is now enshrined in the history of the Club as that was the day the U15 team won the inaugural U15 League of Ireland. That Final took place in the Athlone Town Stadium and, in front of a packed house, they came from behind to beat St. Pats 2 – 1 with Dylan getting both the goals and earning the “Player of The Match” award. The following season he was part of another successful team when the U17’s won the Shield.

He then took up an offer with Charlton Athletic of a two-year scholarship and was an instant hit at youth level. He made his first team debut in November 2020 in a 3 – 1 win over Leyton Orient and signed his first professional contract with them in 2021. He had several successful loan spells with non-league teams and scored the winning goal for Billericay Town in the Essex Senior Cup final giving them a 1-0 victory over Bowers & Pitsea.

Welcome back Dylan!!

We can also confirm that Adam Lennon has left the club and we thank him for all his hard work and effort while he was at the Club and we wish him all the best for the future.
