Sunday morning, the Fermoy Junior Footballers got the Division 1 league underway when they travelled to Charleville. With a new look Junior team with both new young lads coming from Minor and more experienced faces playing the lads fell short. Charleville were able to get the goals and they seemed to be the difference through-out the game. The final score came to 2-7 to 0-5 in favour out Chareville but its very early days for the Juniors and with an Intermediate game later in the day and some players injured our strongest team is yet to be found and the Championship will be something the Footballers will be targeting. It was only two years ago and they faced Ballyclough in the North Cork Final and will have aspirations of being in the same position this year with such a large field of players to choose from.
